Trusting God

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV)

Trust is defined as firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. Believe in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of.

Trusting in God and believing is God’s reliability go hand in hand.  Taking action in obedience to God’s Word is proof of trust.  Trust is not passive it is not a passive thing.

What was the last thing God told you to do? Did you trust God and take action what God told you to do? Don’t let trials leave you without hope. Faith will see you through. Remember God know the end from the beginning. It is written in John 19:30 “”It is finished.”

What Is Our Part?:

1.Hear Gods voice. Study his word. “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27 NIV)

2. Have Faith that what God has said will come to pass in your life personally. See the promise or deliverance happening now. “Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods” (Psalms 40:4)

 3. Rest – enjoy the rest of the shalom peace of God. “And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” (Exodus 33:14)  “’Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days.” (1 Chronicles 22:9)

 4. Confess the truth of God’s word. Prophecy the Word of God over your life and situation, you have the power of life and death in your tongue. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.” (Proverbs 18:21)

5. Be Patient – allow patience to have its perfect work. “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12 (NIV). “For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus.” Romans 15:4-5 (NKJV)
