–          You don’t have to worry about someone cheating on you and you catching something from them.

–          You don’t have to deal with unwanted pregnancies.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;” – 1 Corinthians 6:19 NIV

When you decide to honor God with your body and flee fornication you will see who is really for you and who is for helping themselves to you. It will help you eliminate the weeds that try to come up in your garden. I had an experience where I was seeing a guy, and we had been intimate in the past. Then a few months went by where we didn’t see each other, probably summer break (since I was in college at the time). And he called me up and came over to chill at my place on a Saturday night, I didn’t have anything to do so I said sure come over. Then when he comes over and he’s trying to touch all on me and obviously wanting to have sex. I let him know that I’m not doing that anymore, I’m celibate now, and I guess he thought I was joking because he tried again. I was like look stop, then he got an attitude and left the house.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. – James 4:7 NIV

Making the decision to not just give my body to someone that I’m not married to protected me in this instance. I thought we were all good, but obviously his only motive was to try and come sleep with me. This happens over and over again to young women. You think you’re “having a good time” or “getting you some”, but you are really giving away your value treasures to people who do not deserve them. You deserve a husband that will you, be committed to you and protect you (including your heart). Not just use you up until he’s done and on to the next set of hot legs. You are worth the wait. Someone who loves you and values you will wait for you.  Love waits.

Don’t Take The Bait

Watered down gospel will keep you in bondage. It is the the TRUTH that will set you free. The unadulterated Word of God is truth. Jesus is the Word and he is truth. Jesus came to set us free. “Who the son sets free is free indeed”( John 8:36).

“1The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”.

Satan will send out his false prophets to enable people and steal the truth, but Jesus came that we may have an abundant life. What abundance truly comprises is freedom and liberty. It is not just referring to money. Jesus came to set us free from the bondage is sin, free from darkness, free from being a salve to our emotions, free from the ways of the world, free from guilt, shame, condemnation, bitterness, resentment, depression, anxiety and lack. Who the son sets free is free indeed.

Be free sons & daughters of God. Accept Biblical truth and receive your freedom. When you reject the truth, you reject Jesus Christ himself.
Rejecting Jesus results in death , darkness and eternal damnation. Don’t go that route when you have access to LIFE IN Christ.
What the world offers you is never worth it. Don’t take the bait. Satan makes things look appealing to your flesh and soul to reel you in so that you miss out on the Life that Jesus already paid (through his sacrificial death ) for you to have.

I want to share a quick story with you. Okay so just this morning I decided that I would do a partial fast until 2pm (liquid only). I get to work and during my break I go into the break room and there’s several Dunkin Donut boxes with bagels, donuts, muffins, etc. The first time I went in the break room I tell myself , No you better not. Then when I got take a 15min breaks hours later they are still there. Looking real delicious 🙂 so I reason that I should change my fast to a 6pm ton 11am fast and just continue with that instead. I grab a sugar donut with raspberry filling , I but into it and it’s gross. The sugar tasted funny and the bread was a weird texture. So I threw it away. It didn’t taste good enough to waste the calories. So since I already are something I decide to try a pumpkin. I bit into it and it’s sort of hard and not sweet. In the end I felt like it was ultimately not worth me breaking my fast early, but I took the bait.

Don’t take the bait!..I know it sounds silly because it’s just a donut but we do this all the time with other things. We reason to make accommodations for our flesh. We twist the Word of God or say it doesn’t really mean that to try to gratify a desire. Most of the time it’s not even worth it.
