Do you have a Kingdom Mindset?

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” – Mark 1:5 NASB

I talk about dreams a lot because I consider myself a big dreamer. I think having a vision and dream is important, however there something more important than my personal dreams and that is God’s vision for his Kingdom. A kingdom mindset is a mindset that places the agenda of the kingdom he/she belongs to over personal agendas.

“You need a vision that is more important than your own life preservation.” – Dr. Myles Munroe

The kingdom of God is in Heaven. God is the ruler of the kingdom, God gave Jesus the keys and set him. When are born-again we are born into God’s Kingdom. We become part of the family of God. In every family has more than one person created to fulfill their role in the family so that things go smoothly and so that family with advance (become fruitful and multiply).

The real dream is expanding the Kingdom of God. When that is our hearts intent the supply is unlimited, because it all is for God and belongs to him anyway.

God’s Kingdom will stand forever:

“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, nor shall the kingdom be left to another people. It shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, and it shall stand forever” – Daniel 2:44 ESV

I want to pose some important questions to you today,

  1. Are you kingdom minded?
  2. What happens if what you want for yourself is not best for the kingdom?
  3. Do you choose your own self-centered plans over God’s kingdom plan? Don’t you know it is written that whoever loses their life will find life and whoever tries to keep their life will lose it (Matthew 16:25).
  4. Are you willing to lay down your life to follow Christ, or do you just want the title? Or do you want what you think God can give you (the car, the house, the mate, riches)

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails. – Proverbs 19:21 NIV
