What would have happened if the woman with the issue of blood pretended she didn’t have a problem, that all was well and in perfect health. She would not have gotten her healing. She was not whole, but she admitted that, which left room for God to bring out the healing she needed.
She pressed pass the crowd (doubt, unbelief, depression,lack, people gossiping) to touch Jesus. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, therefore I boast in weakness instead of ignoring the weakness.
“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
The church can get so “spiritual” that they deny the real legitimate issues of their heart. And your heart determines the course of your life and the words you speak.
Pride will keep you from getting close to God, therefore not getting what you really what you need ,that only God can provide. Intimacy requires transparency. Yet, pride says I already have it together, I am strong already. You don’t have to put on a facade , who cares what other people think or say, they don’t your answers but JESUS DOES.
“But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble “(James 4:6)
Facing constant disappointments can plain hurt. The woman with the issue of blood tried everything to remedy her issue. She had been hemorrhaging for YEARS , spent all her life savings going from doctor to doctor and nothing. Her efforts and people she placed her trust in let her down. There was nothing else left for her to do. She still had the issue of blood, until the day she touched Jesus….
